Improve email delivery with A/B Testing

Improve email delivery with A/B Testing

As email marketers, we want to send messages that connect with our audience and drive them to the desired actions. However, the competition for audience attention in the inbox is challenging. That’s where A/B testing comes in. A/B testing is a powerful way to improve the performance of your email campaigns. By comparing numerous versions of a message, you can understand what resonates with your audiences and craft stronger future campaigns.

Here are some best practices to keep in mind when using A/B testing.

ALWAYS start with a simple test.

Keep yourself from being indurated with questionable results by A/B testing one element at a time.

BEST time to test maybe the same time and day.

Verify you’re testing at the same time and day of the week to control for any fluctuations in engagement that may occur due to external factors.

TRACK each test, and keep detailed records.

Keep track of all your A/B tests so that you can analyze the results over time and see any trends.

EACH test should be large enough to provide good results.

Ensure that the sample size of your test is large enough to provide statistically significant results. Small sample sizes can lead to inconclusive or misleading results.

SCHEDULE your tests so they become a routine:

Incorporate A/B testing into your regular email marketing routine, to continually improve your messages and stay ahead of the competition.

TAKE your time.

Don’t rush the analytics process: Take your time when analyzing your results to keep your conclusions accurate.

INFORMATION that you learn from your tests can only improve your email.

Use the results of your A/B tests to make improvements to your future email marketing efforts.

NEVER forget the elements you tested.

Before conducting a test, make sure you understand the specific element you’re testing and what you hope to achieve.

GO for the bigger picture:

A/B testing is just one part of a larger email marketing strategy. Make sure your tests align with your overall goals and messaging

In conclusion, A/B testing is a powerful tool that can help you improve the performance of your email campaigns. By following these best practices, you can conduct tests that provide accurate and actionable insights, helping you create stronger, more effective messages that connect with your audience.

How Our Message Pricing Works

  1. Included Monthly Messages
Each plan comes with a certain number of included messages at a standard size (up to 40K per email).
  2. Overage Rate
After you’ve sent all your included messages, each additional 1,000 emails costs $0.90.
  3. What If an Email Is Larger Than 40K?
    • We measure every extra 1K of data beyond 40K as an extra fraction of a message.
    • Example: A 50K email counts as 1.25 messages (because 50K is 1.25 × 40K).
    • This prevents rounding up to a full extra 40K block when you only need 10K more.
  4. Covered by Your Monthly Fee
    • All administrative and automated list messages (welcome emails, unsubscribe confirmations, surveys, etc.)
    • Access to features like archives, refer-a-friend, click/open tracking, feedback loops, and more.
